Speedrunning in Minecraft Bedrock Edition is about efficiency. Here's the exact 10-minute plan to get a full starter fort with everything you need.
| Minute | Task | Location | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0:00-1:00 | Punch tree, craft pickaxe | Surface | Critical |
| 1:00-2:30 | Find stone, craft full stone tools | Cave entrance | Critical |
| 2:30-4:00 | Mine 14 iron ore | Cave | High |
| 4:00-5:00 | Craft furnace, smelt iron, craft shield | Surface | High |
| 5:00-7:00 | Find sheep, get 3 wool, craft bed | Surface | Medium |
| 7:00-8:30 | Find food source (8+ cows/chickens) | Surface | Medium |
| 8:30-10:00 | Build walled fort with bed inside | Near spawn | Critical |
The 6x6 box:
Starter Inventory Checklist
- Stone pickaxe x2 (always have backup)
- Stone axe x1 (for wood + mobs)
- Stone sword x1
- Shield x1 (craft with 6 wood planks + 1 iron ingot)
- Water bucket x1 (fall damage save + obsidian casting)
- Food: 16+ cooked beef or mutton
- Torches: 32+
- Bed: 1 (set spawn point IMMEDIATELY)
The #1 noob mistake: Not making a shield. A shield blocks 100% of incoming damage from the front. With a shield, you can beat 3 skeletons at once. Without it, 2 skeletons = death. In Minecraft Bedrock edition, shields also block 50% of explosion damage from creepers. Always prioritize iron for shield before anything else except the pickaxe.
